Important Status Update from Charmaine Preiss, Executive Director 7/16/2020
As stated on the 7/15/20 update,late Wednesday afternoon we were informed that one of our Independent Living residents has tested positive for COVID-19. The resident lives in the C building and was exposed off campus during a family vacation. The resident is currently staying with family and not on property. Due to HIPAA regulations we cannot provide any personal or health information at this time.
We have reached out to the Health Department to discuss the safest way to move forward. We plan to provide updates once we have an approved plan in place.
I know this is disappointing news for many of you and we share your sentiments. As we have been saying these past few weeks, we all need to be extra cautious as the state re-opens. It is critical that we are all following CDC guidelines by wearing a mask, washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing.
We cannot stress enough how important it is to all residents and employees that you notify us as soon as possible if have been exposed to anyone that has tested positive for COVID or you are having any symptoms or fever.
