It was found that one Assisted Living employee tested positive and is now isolating at home. However, we are happy to report that all Assisted Living/Memory Care residents and all Health Care Community employees tested negative on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Chesterfield County’s positivity rate posted on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website on February 24, 2021, has decreased to 11.5%. We are mandated to continue to test all Health Care Community employees twice a week until the positivity rate drops below 10%.
We will begin outdoor visits next week. Currently, for all Assisted Living/Memory Care residents and residents in The Haven who occupy a semi-private room with a roommate, we are scheduling resident/family window visits. The duration of the visit is 30 minutes. Please email Trisha Pedersen at tpedersen@brandermillwoods.com to schedule your visit. The Haven residents who occupy a private room have access to a window, therefore, no appointment is necessary for a window visit.
The Therapeutic Recreation Department has begun small group activities and all residents will begin to dine in the Dining rooms effective Monday.
As the positivity rate decreases and as vaccination clinics finish up their programs in Long Term Care Facilities, we hope that regulatory requirements around visitation will be eased in The Haven. Our management teams continue to work on plans for reopening as this occurs. We will keep you updated.
Our final CVS Pharmacy vaccination clinic is scheduled for tomorrow, February 25, 2021. Approximately 95% of Haven residents, 100% of Assisted Living/Memory Care residents, 98% of Independent Living residents, and 71% of all employees will be vaccinated when this clinic is complete. We are in the process of contacting the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and local pharmacies to partner with them to get the vaccines for new residents and new employees.
Thank you for your cooperation in moving our community forward in a safe way!
