It is with regret that we must inform you that during our weekly testing at our Health Care Community, we had two of our Maintenance employees, who work at the Independent Living Community, test positive for COVID-19. Both employees are isolating at home. We are in the process of completing the contact tracing. We will notify residents who have been exposed and they will be required to quarantine for 14 days.
Management has decided to take a step back in our reopening process. We have to consider the facts that Chesterfield County’s positivity rate is increasing, the Virginia Department of Health is projecting an increase due to the Thanksgiving holidays and we have two employees who are positive.
Effective immediately and through December 6, 2020, all amenities and classes will be canceled. No visitors will be allowed for residents living in the Apartments and Cottages, unless medically necessary. Please see the attached updated COVID-19 protocols for more details.
We know this is upsetting news for many of you and we share your feelings. The Chesterfield county positivity rate is 10.8% and we all need to be extra cautious when outside our community.
It is critical that we are all following CDC guidelines by wearing a mask, washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing. Please remember to follow extra precautions and only socialize with others who also follow the CDC guidelines. We cannot stress enough how important it is to all residents that you notify us as soon as possible if have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID or you are having any symptoms or fever.
