Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care
The COVID transmission rate for Chesterfield county Health Care has decreased to 19.69% and the transmission level is high. We continue to encourage everyone to get “up-to-date” with their COVID-19 vaccines per CDC recommendations.
We are pleased to report that all residents in The Haven results from Monday were negative in this week’s COVID-19 testing. We have also cleared the four (4) remaining COVID-19 positive residents and have closed our COVID-19 unit.
We have three (3) new team members who tested positive for COVID-19 this week, two (2) in The Haven, and one (1) in the Assisted Living. Those team members are now quarantined at home.
We will continue to test all residents in The Haven and team members per CMS guidelines. If resident testing from the Haven remains negative on Wednesday, residents will resume regular dining and activities in the Haven.
All visitors need to take additional measures to make visitation safer. This includes wearing well-fitting masks, surgical or KN95 at all times, performing hand hygiene, and practicing physical distancing. Do not mingle in the common areas of the community. Please do not visit your loved one and contact your doctor if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: sore throat, severe lingering headache, sinus/head pressure, head congestion, runny nose, nausea, cough, and fatigue.
Visitors who are unable to adhere to our core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention that are consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for nursing homes will not be permitted to visit or should be asked to leave.
Please continue to thank our team members when you visit our community. June is always a very active month and they are working hard under difficult circumstances to give the best quality of life daily for our residents. Your encouragement is appreciated and well deserved.
