To all Health Care Community Residents and Family Members:
We are pleased to inform you that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS has revised the guidance regarding visitation. Therefore, we have updated our Guidelines for Visitations for Residents in The Haven, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Communities effective immediately. A copy is attached here for your convenience.
We will continue to follow the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention. Hand hygiene, face-covering, and physical distancing to name a few of the most important.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have changed how facilities track COVID transmission in the county in which they are located. Previously, facilities were guided by county positivity rates and now facilities are guided by community transmission rates based on each county. These rates are divided into 4 categories: High, Substantial, Moderate, and Low. Testing requirements and some visitation guidelines are based according to which category your facility is in. Currently, Chesterfield County has a transmission rate of High.
Additional information on levels of community transmission is available on the CDC’s webpage.

If you took the important step of getting vaccinated, you may be eligible for a booster shot to stay protected against COVID-19 starting at 6 months after the initial vaccination. COVID-19 vaccines and the boosters are an important tool to help stop the virus. However, even after vaccination, everyone will need to continue following CDC recommendations for masks, hand washing, and social distancing that keep everyone safe.
As we begin the Holiday season, there is no better time to receive this new visitation update. We appreciate your cooperation as we open up for more visitors.
Looking forward to welcoming everyone back!
