Dear Resident and Family Members:
We are happy to report that we are in the process of slowly reopening the services offered to our residents at the Health Care Community, The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care. We are following the VDH (Virginia Department of Health) and the CMS (Centers of Medicare and Medicaid) guidance for phase reopening. We have submitted our Phase Change Attestation plans to CDH (Chesterfield County Department of health).
If approved, we will continue to take every precaution to protect our residents and staff. In an effort to clearly explain our next steps in the reopening process, we are providing a list of upcoming changes and proposed dates.
Visitation:
- Door Visitation will resume effective 8/5/20
- ~Please schedule visits with Trisha Pedersen at 804-379-7100, ext. 178
- Regular Visitation start date is unknown at this time, this applies to family, friends and companions
Creative Interactions:
- Creative Interactions will resume on 8/10/20 (this includes movies, walking group, games) o Groups are limited to 7 residents or less based on the space
- ~Residents will be spaced at least 6ft. apart
- All residents will wear masks
- All items will be sanitized via UV light
- Door way bingo and exercise will continue
Dining Services:
- Chesterfield Dining Room Meals will start effective 8/17/20.
- The Haven Dining Room Meals are slated to start effective 8/31/20. o Meals will be served in the Chesterfield and Haven dining room for lunch and dinner
- ~Breakfast will be “Room Service”
- ~To accommodate all residents, dining room meals will be on a rotating schedule of every other day based on floor for Assisted Living and the wing for The Haven
- ~One resident per table
- ~Tables will be spaced at least 6 ft. apart
- ~Orders for breakfast and room service will be taken ahead of time (as they are currently), in-restaurant dining will order at the table for each meal
- ~Room service style meals will be prepared and served from the tray line in the kitchen
- ~All salt, pepper, single serve condiments will be disposable
- ~Residents must wear masks until they arrive at their dining table and must be worn after they have finished their meal before exiting the dining room
- ~Nursing staff will be available in dining room to assist residents
- ~Dining staff will clean and sanitize tables and chair arms and backs after use
- ~Serving staff will wear masks at all times while serving residents and will practice good hand washing hygiene and techniques
Beauty Salon:
- Services will resume for the residents in the Haven effective 8/17/20
- ~The week of 8/17/20 – 8/21/20 will be dedicated to residents from The Haven
- Services for all residents will be on a rotating schedule effective 8/24/20:
- ~Haven - Mondays and Wednesdays
- ~Assisted Living and Memory Care - Thursdays and Fridays
- ~The Beauty Salon will be sanitized per our infection control guidelines between each resident and at the end of the day
Supplies/Laundry Drop off and Pick up:
- Family members are to continue to drop items off at the Employee Entrance
- Permitted Items:
- ~Clothing
- ~Toiletries
- ~Medical supplies
- ~Prepackaged Food and Beverages (no homemade food)
- ~Devices, books, cards, magazines
- ~Flowers and plants
Specialty Services:
- We are currently working on a safe process to allow specialty services to reenter the building which include:
- ~Podiatry Services
- ~Behavioral Health Services
- ~Clinical Licensed Social Work Services
